Any student who filled out the yearbook survey had the opportunity to win a Taco Bell gift card. Triad was host to four other local high school debate teams for the southern Illinois season opening tournament on Saturday. The Triad Math Team competed in round 3 of the Southwestern Illinois Math League. Bringing home awards were freshmen Luke Ulrich and Elliana Eichenseer, sophomore Katie Hellrung, juniors Daniel Winfield and Addison Mallette, and senior Marik Schram. Great job, Knights!

The solution of a cafetorium has served us over the years, but now the space is just too small. Aging Infrastructure Triad Middle School opened in 1959 (65 years ago) as Triad High School. The aging infrastructure does not hold up to today’s educational standards and student needs. The 945 students at TMS are forced to navigate cramped hallways during passing periods, which could pose a safety risk in the event of an emergency requiring a quick evacuation.
