Remember to use your personal email account when applying for colleges/ scholarships. Do NOT use your @triadlive.org account as it will not work.
Use this guide to help you accomplish your post-secondary goals
Twelfth Grade - First Semester
Do NOT take it easy your senior year
Keep active in athletics, academic, extracurricular, and/or community activities
After reviewing SAT scores, determine whether you need to register again for the SAT
Attend the THS College Night Presentation in September which will cover the college application process, financial aid, and testing. Reps from area colleges will be available for Q & A session
Receive your Senior Survival Guide and discuss the packet with your parents
Meet individually with your counselor to discuss the college application process and any questions or concerns you may have
Register for AP Exams (if applicable)
Attend visits with College Reps - listen to announcements for important dates and information
Prepare for writing College Admission Essays by working with your English teacher.
Attend a college fair
Visit Colleges
Use the College Visit Information for helpful information related to college days.
Make a final choice of three to five postsecondary options that meet your needs and interests
Complete the FAFSA
Attend a FAFSA workshop
Complete and mail college applications by October 31st
Student-athletes planning to attend a Division 1 or Division 2 school need to apply with the NCAA clearinghouse or NAIA clearinghouse (if applicable)
Twelfth Grade - Second Semester
Apply for all financial aid and scholarship opportunities. Scholarships are also posted on the guidance website, the Knights Landing bulletin board, as well as in the guidance office

Continue to participate in school and community activities
Take AP Exams (if applicable)
Attend a college fair if you haven’t chosen a college
In February, SWIC will host a college fair where over 100 colleges will be in attendance along with financial aid workshops
Commit to a college of choice by National College Decision Day - May 1st
