The Triad School District will host a substitute teacher training on Thursday, August 28, from 8:30 AM–12:00 PM at the Triad Central Office, 203 E. Throp St., Troy, IL 62294.
This session is open to new Triad substitutes as well as individuals interested in becoming a substitute teacher in the district. A substitute license is not required to attend, as guidance on obtaining one will be provided. All substitutes employed by Triad with a short-term substitute license must complete this training before accepting jobs.
Training topics include:
Curriculum and classroom management
School safety procedures
District and building operations
Technology tools
Substitute application process
Participants will receive half-day substitute pay for attending once they are hired by the Board of Education and have substitute taught at least one day in the district.
