Do you have an old pair of sneakers that you no longer wear? Triad's Recycling Club can take those off your hands!
You can deliver your old sneakers to your 7th-hour teacher to be donated. The class that collects the most pairs of sneakers wins a pizza party. The deadline is the end of 7th hour on January 21st, so bring them in while you have the chance! These shoes will be donated to field workers in impoverished countries who would otherwise not have shoes to protect their feet from cuts and infections. Don't worry if you think your sneakers are too old or dirty to donate; shoes that are too worn are recycled into playground mulch. Get the old sneakers that are crowding your closet out of the house and donate them to the Recycling Club!

To avoid gridlock, we kindly ask parents to arrive at 12:45 PM on 12/18 and 12/19. This allows student drivers to leave campus first, creating space in the parking lot for parent pickup. At 12:45, parents will be directed to park in the B parking lot so students can walk to their cars and everyone can exit promptly. Please let whoever is picking up your child know about this guidance. If you arrive before 12:45, you will be directed around the building to wait for pickup.

Today, at THS, it is "wear your favorite Knight gear for the Madrigal." Our English teacher, Mr. Kastl, understood the assignment!
It seems appropriate that the Kastl has his knight gear. ⚔️

The Honors English I classes did a "Speed Dating" activity. Students read the story "Cooking Time" by Anita Roy and came up with interesting discussion questions to pose to one another. Students then met with one another for a quick "date," during which they discussed their perspectives and analyzed various aspects of the story. What an engaging and creative approach to learning!

Mrs. Knobloch's Anatomy and Physiology classes got to participate in a dementia simulation today. They geared up in macular degeneration goggles, weighted vests, ankle and wrist weights, elbow, and knee braces. They went into a room with strobe lights where they had 5 tasks to complete in 4-5 minutes while listening to loud annoying music. It was so eye-opening for students to experience. Most left with a newfound compassion for the elderly and especially those struggling with dementia.
