A quick message from Triad CUSD #2 regarding "Health Guidance For Going To School".

Happy National School Resource Officer Day!
Our SRO is so much more than a badge and a uniform. He is a mentor, a role model, a protector, and a positive adult in our students' lives. We know relationships matter, and our SRO plays a vital role in strengthening connections among students, staff, families, and our Triad community. Thank you, SRO Joe, for all that you do!

Triad CUSD #2 Breaks Ground on Triad High School Construction Project
This project we are groundbreaking today at THS includes the construction of the Triad Center for the Performing Arts, a space that will elevate our music, theater, and performance programs to the level our students deserve and will serve as a space that can be utilized by our communities as well. The project also includes four additional classrooms to support our growing enrollment and evolving instructional needs, as well as renovated Career and Technical Education spaces that will better prepare students for college, careers, and life beyond Triad.
As our communities continue to grow, so too must our schools. This addition is not just about meeting today’s needs—it is about investing in opportunities for generations of Triad students to come. This is a space where students will discover their voices and gain confidence that will carry them far beyond these walls.
Lets celebrate this groundbreaking as the beginning of something truly special. Today, we are breaking ground on what is going to be an amazing new space—but more importantly, we are laying the foundation for creativity, opportunity, and student success for decades to come.
Jason Henderson, Superintendent

All children in Madison County ages 0-5 years old are eligible to receive a free monthly book from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library until their 5th birthday! This new service allows parents to enroll their children in this age range to receive one free, high‑quality, age‑appropriate book by mail each month. Families register online at Illinois - Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (or by scanning the QR code on the DP flyer sent home in student folders). After enrollment, the child’s first book, usually The Little Engine That Could, arrives in about 6–8 weeks, and a new book continues to be mailed monthly until the child turns five. The program is free for eligible Madison County children. We encourage you to sign up as soon as you can!

Freshman Orientation is this Thursday. We invite all parents of 8th graders to learn about what THS offers incoming freshmen.

Love, Delivered. Celebrating the Yellow School Bus
February is Love the Bus Month, and schools and communities everywhere are showing their appreciation for the yellow school bus and the incredible drivers who keep students moving safely each day! It’s the perfect time to celebrate the rides, routes, and friendly faces that help learning happen. Love the Bus Month puts the spotlight on the buses—and the people behind them—who make getting to school safe, dependable, and full of possibility.
Love the Bus Month is about more than safety—it’s about celebrating the big impact student transportation has on education and community life. When we recognize and appreciate our transportation teams, we help build pride in the profession and inspire others to consider careers that keep students rolling safely every day.
It’s also a chance to celebrate the everyday moments that happen on the bus—the friendly greetings, the laughter, and the routines that make each ride meaningful. Those yellow buses aren’t just a way to get to school; they’re where school days begin. By sharing the love and showing our support, communities help keep school transportation strong, dependable, and ready for the road ahead.
We at the Triad School District would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful Transportation Team and all of the drivers who work so hard to transport our students safely to and from school and other activities every day.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose courage, leadership, and commitment to justice continue to inspire generations. As we reflect on his legacy, let us choose respect, kindness, and service in our words and actions. Together, we can continue to build a school rooted in understanding, kindness, unity, and positive change.

Congratulations to our December Awards of Excellence recipients! Every month, THS faculty in each department nominate a student who demonstrates excellent character, achievement, and attitude within their discipline.

Do you have an old pair of sneakers that you no longer wear? Triad's Recycling Club can take those off your hands!
You can deliver your old sneakers to your 7th-hour teacher to be donated. The class that collects the most pairs of sneakers wins a pizza party. The deadline is the end of 7th hour on January 21st, so bring them in while you have the chance! These shoes will be donated to field workers in impoverished countries who would otherwise not have shoes to protect their feet from cuts and infections. Don't worry if you think your sneakers are too old or dirty to donate; shoes that are too worn are recycled into playground mulch. Get the old sneakers that are crowding your closet out of the house and donate them to the Recycling Club!
