The Triad debate team finished their season strong with a historic performance at the
IDC Varsity State championship tournament in Schaumburg, Illinois this past weekend
which represents the highest level of Lincoln-Douglas debate in the state of Illinois.
Sophomore Morgan Barnett finished as the top seed in the preliminary rounds, going
undefeated with a 6-0 record before finishing in the top 8 as a quarterfinalist.
This level of success has not been achieved by any school in Southern Illinois since
Belleville East’s Quarterfinal finish in 1999 and represents the culmination of the team’s
hard work, dedication, and skill throughout the year.

Reminder...No School on Monday, March 17th. Enjoy your weekend! #TriadTogether

PREPARING STUDENTS FOR THE FUTURE
To ensure Triad students are prepared for our changing world, career and technical education classrooms and labs in our high school are in need of updates to accommodate best practices in education. A new district auditorium at Triad High School will be added, a space that all students and our community would be able to use. And NO change to the tax rate!

Attention Class of 2025!

IT’S TIME TO UPDATE MARINE ELEMENTARY
Marine Elementary School is 68 years old. It needs essential upgrades and renovations due to its age and decades of wear and tear. The way we educate students has changed drastically over the years. Renovations would include new learning spaces that would provide Marine students with the same educational experiences as other Triad elementary students. We can improve schools with NO tax rate increase!

OUR PLAN TO KEEP TRIAD STRONG
Triad schools have critical needs that must be addressed. Our schools have many out-of-date conditions that do not support today’s teaching and learning needs. Since the district has existing bond payments dropping off and could be replaced with new bond payments, we can improve schools with NO tax rate change!
If approved the bond proposal will:
✅ Replace Triad Middle School
✅ Renovate & Expand Marine Elementary
✅ Improve Career & Tech Classrooms
✅ Add District Auditorium at Triad High School
✅ Improve Safety & Security at All District Schools
✅ Continue the District’s Commitment to Responsible Financial Planning

🌟 Happy School Maintenance Appreciation Day! 🔧 Our maintenance team keeps our schools safe, clean, and functioning every day. From fixing leaky faucets to maintaining grounds—your behind-the-scenes work makes learning possible. Thank you for your dedication to our students and staff! #TriadTogether

NOW IS THE TIME
Triad Middle School has served us for 65 years, but it’s overcrowded, outdated, and costly to maintain. Escalating repair and maintenance costs make replacement a more responsible and cost-effective solution than renovation. The bond proposal funds a new school with NO tax rate change. It’s time for a new Triad Middle School!
